Customizable currency rules go far beyond the FAR 61.57 basics. You can set up airline-specific recency requirements, type-rating currency windows, and custom alerts for medical and BFR deadlines. The dashboard shows exactly when each currency expires and what flights you need to stay legal.

Generate airline-format logbook summaries, time-by-type reports, and experience breakdowns that match what hiring committees and DPEs expect. Reports export to PDF with professional formatting, and you can customize templates to highlight the experience categories that matter for your specific application.

The depth of customization means there is a learning curve, but the default setup covers most private and commercial pilots without any configuration. Smart defaults and autocomplete for airports, aircraft, and crew names speed up daily logging. The interface is well-organized once you learn where things live.

LogTen Pro is a native Apple app through and through. It uses iCloud sync, integrates with Shortcuts, and feels perfectly at home on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The iPad version takes full advantage of the larger screen with a sidebar layout that makes browsing hundreds of entries effortless.

The subscription price is higher than most logbook alternatives, and it only makes sense if you actively use the advanced features. Student pilots logging 50 hours do not need this level of tooling. For commercial pilots building toward an airline career with 1,000-plus hours, the investment pays for itself in organized, professional records.
