The calendar shows real-time aircraft availability across every club member, with conflict detection that prevents double-bookings before they happen. Recurring reservations, block booking for checkride prep, and waitlist support are all built in.

Completed flights flow directly from the schedule into your digital logbook with aircraft type, duration, and route pre-filled. You can add remarks, endorsements, and flight conditions after the fact. Currency tracking for BFR, medical, and night requirements keeps you honest about what you can legally fly.

Basic logbook viewing and recent schedule data are cached locally, so you can reference your records at fields with no cell service. However, booking changes and new log entries require a data connection to sync. This is the weakest area and one FlightBase is actively improving.

The iOS app is clean, responsive, and follows platform conventions. Scheduling and logbook workflows feel native rather than like a wrapped web view. Push notifications for booking confirmations, cancellations, and maintenance holds are reliable and timely.

Feature parity with iOS is close, and the Material Design implementation feels natural on Android devices. Performance is solid on mid-range hardware, and the app handles spotty airport Wi-Fi gracefully with optimistic UI updates.

For what you get — scheduling, logbook, maintenance visibility, billing, and member management — the price is extremely competitive. Most clubs will save money consolidating from multiple single-purpose tools into FlightBase alone.

New members can book their first flight within minutes of creating an account. The interface avoids aviation jargon where possible and uses clear visual cues for aircraft status, availability, and booking confirmation. Onboarding is the smoothest in this category.
